Job Overview

Nikkiso Cosmodyne, a leading provider of cryogenic process systems for the industrial, hydrogen and natural gas industry, is looking for a Proposal Engineer. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Nikkiso Cosmodyne in Seal Beach , CA, and is responsible for proposal activity in collaboration with Sales and Engineering.

 

Salary Range:
$78,337 To $143,551 Per Year

Responsibilities

  • Executes the sales strategy for all proposal work. This includes coordinating with Engineering to generate the required technical information required for the proposal.
  • Responsible for producing all proposals for natural gas liquefier and air separation plant opportunities, globally.
  • Responsible for maintaining all proposal documentation current.
  • Responsible for working with vendors on quotations.
  • This role is not a customer facing role, however, there may be times when inside sales support may be required.
  • This role can lead to a Proposal Manager role or a role in a more customer facing position within Sales Engineering in the future.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Various years of experience will be considered.
  • Experience in engineered equipment sales of $5MM and above is a plus.
  • Strong technical background and good communication skills a must; knowledge of cryogenic process plants is a plus.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering resources to provide clients with customized proposals when necessary.
  • Ability to understand a client’s specifications and weigh them against a solution that will be a win-win both for the company and the client.
  • Work with Engineering to develop proposal.
  • Understanding the need and following through on sales documentation.
