Job Overview

Working within the Pumps Functional Unit, reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller provides support for the functional unit management team. The Assistant Controller will provide trend and variance analysis, support enhanced reporting capability, contribute with modeling and sensitivity analysis, and assist with special projects. A successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have an internal drive to assist in a growing business.

This position will be based in either our North Las Vegas, NV office or Orange County, CA offices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly reporting and analysis including OneStream Reports, and Monthly Business Review Reporting (MBRs), and scorecards.
  • Support cost analysis on product lines across product companies.
  • Prepare and analyze actual financial results with appropriate comparison to historical performance and twelve-month trending.
  • Monitor performance dashboards, indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing variance drivers.
  • Assist in the preparation of various presentations for various business review meetings.
  • Assist with the review and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of financial models used to analyze and support strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze complex financial and operational data to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision-making purposes.
  • Analyze and interpret information to develop actionable recommendations that impact the business.
  • Understand current internal and external trends and manage data to gain insights to eliminate waste and increase operating performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on cash flow, cost identification and allocation, product margin improvement, region profitability, and risk management.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all ad-hoc analyses and reports, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Assist with documenting functional unit processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field is required, equivalent experience may be considered.
  • CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and Power Point skills required.
  • PowerBi knowledge preferred.
  • OneStream Experience is preferred.
  • 6+ years’ applicable experience required.
  • Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and Sox preferred.
  • Financial analysis experience preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing accounting experience required.
  • Experience in an International Company preferred.
