Job Overview

Summary

We are looking for an experienced quality control inspector to perform product inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process.

 

Annual Salary: $36,405 - $47,050

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Monitor quality procedures, perform in-process and final inspections.
• Develop and maintain company inspection reports through the manufacturing process.
• Inspecting equipment in accordance with quality and ASME Code standards.
• Ensuring finished goods and products meet and or exceed company standards as well as customer specifications.
• Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
• Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
• Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
• Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely utilizes the operation of material handling equipment and various tools and machinery.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and work with various materials and/or tools, as well as work and bend at different heights, in various temperatures, and be on feet for an extended period of time.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience as an Inspection or quality technician/specialist in pressure vessel and process piping.
  • Working knowledge of welding procedures and welder performance qualifications
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
  • High-level of visual awareness and attention to detail.
  • Advanced organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
