Job Overview

Position Summary

The Accountant for Cryogenic Industries Service Companies (CSC) is an integral part of the finance and accounting team with a wide range of responsibilities related to accounting, reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other related areas. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Assist CSC Senior Manager with all accounting and finance activities in North America.
  • Contribute to month-end closing tasks, general ledger accounting and various reports, intercompany AR and AP reconciliation, review and analyze the numbers to ensure data quality. 
  • Prepare and submit IDL and OneStream reports for NCS North America.
  • Perform duties related to fixed assets in each customer center, such as place proper control and working helping establish the fixed assets and depreciation schedule.
  • Analyze finance reports on sales, COGS and gross margin by product lines, SG&A and EBIT, provide the explanations if there are significant variances comparing with budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Assist CSC Senior Manager with preparation of budgets and forecasts and work with various leaders on data analysis and collection.
  • Prepare the financial analysis per the requests as requested,
  • Monitor inventory and product costs in each service center, assisting Senior Manager with the analysis to ensure the reasonable COGS and gross margin shown on P&L
  • Manage cash, AR and AP, prepare cash flow forecast, review the cash transfer request, send for appropriate approvals.
  • Help manage and monitor the tax return and filing including income tax, sales tax and property tax in each customer center.
  • Work with the sales team in each customer  center on credit review and control for customers, provide the recommendation on payment term, review aging AR, and resolve issues by taking actions to reduce overdue.
  • Assist Senior Manager with collecting and reviewing the cash transfer requests
  • Work with office managers, sales and operations in each customer center to manage inventory, analyze costs and upload new standard costs into MAS 500 on the annual basis, and ensure the accurate inventory costing is being applied, monitor and analyze PPV, investigate the root causes and make the proper adjustments as needed.
  • Potentially participate in annual physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory data in MAS 500 with actual counting results to ensure there are no discrepancies or variances.
  • Assist with the internal and external auditors requests to provide the required data and explanation.
  • Support Senior Manager with maintaining the access authorization of each user in MAS 500, work with ERP consultant to resolve the any issues incurred in each customer center.
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and JSOX internal control requirements.
  • Assist Senior Manager with preparation of the monthly financial reports required by Nikkiso and various ad-hoc requests on reporting.
  • Utilize computer applications to compile, retrieve and summarize accounting information for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • All other various work per the needs of job and assigned by the Senior Manager and management team.
  • Support QMS requirements in areas of responsibility for conformance with international requirements and state and federal regulations.
  • Travel to other offices or production facilities as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years business experience in costing and financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience and familiarity with clean and energy business in pumps and after-market business including spares, exchanges, repairs and field service is a plus.
  • Accounting background and experience, preferably with full-cycle accounting
  • Exposure to international financial accounting and multi-currency reporting is highly desirable
