Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

 

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.

Job Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator will support the daily functions of the HR department. This role provides administrative support including new hire onboarding, timekeeping, record-retention, recruiting, and file maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares weekly and biweekly payroll reports from timekeeping system; ensures timecards are correct and complete
  • Site contact for timekeeping system; make profile changes, manually add work orders, correct timecards as needed
  • Maintains files for compliance in relation to meal and rest breaks, timecard approvals, missed punches, and other time and attendance matters
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Assists the Environmental, Health, and Safety department and Quality department with scheduling trainings and collecting/tracking completed assignments
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Runs human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual performance review and merit increase process
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in ATS and responds with follow-up communication as needed throughout the recruiting process.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.

Qualifications

  • At least two years related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:

 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Employees are required to wear company provided PPE as/when needed.

Wage: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
