Job Overview

Nikkiso Cryo (NCI) is a subsidiary of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases and is one of the world’s foremost suppliers of submerged motor liquefied gas pumps. We are located in North Las Vegas, Nevada and we offer a full range of submerged pumps for LNG, LPG, LEG, LN2, liquid propylene and many other liquefied gases. With design, production and test facilities in both the United States and Japan, sales offices in Las Vegas, Houston, London and Tokyo, Nikkiso Cryo offers prompt, total support for all of our customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provides mechanical engineering and design leadership for NCI team
  • Manages mechanical engineering quality, cost reduction, and completion to ensure on-time delivery
  • Oversees the overall safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and service center performance measures.
  • Works to provide customer and market growth through effective strategy implementation
  • Promote customer focus throughout the organization
  • Supports meetings with customers to maintain and build relationships as well as increase customer satisfaction
  • Monitors mechanical engineering budgets (cost management), project deliveries, controls, and risks
  • Provides leadership and supports employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development efforts
  • Provides leadership with effective resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
  • Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
  • Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
  • Determines mechanical engineering headcount needs and maintains ultimate responsibility for all mechanical engineering team
  • Drive people and leadership development 
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives in all areas
  • Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects
  • Manages compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 20 years of management experience, including manufacturing
  • Experience with cryogenic and high pressure system design and manufacturing. Cryogenic experience preferred. 

 

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:

 

  • In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates. This may include week days, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
