Job Overview

The SIOP Demand Manager will report directly to the Global Supply Chain Director. In this role, the SIOP Demand Manager will be responsible for our demand planning process, driving the aggregation and analysis of demand data to inform our monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) review. This role will work closely with cross-functional leaders to evaluate demands from customers and internal departments while aligning with our supply chain and operations teams to ensure a holistic and accurate demand forecast.

 

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD located in Santa Ana, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the customer demand forecasting process at the site level
  • Develop customer demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns by using historical/statistical data and market/customer information (“bottom-up” and “top-down”)
  • Make customer demand forecast information available in ERP System and ensure data integrity (expected customer request date)
  • New product introduction and transfer projects material planning
  • Support the development projects where applicable from a demand planning perspective
  • Align forecast values with Order Management, Sales/Marketing, Customer Support, other global product companies
  • Facilitate the preparation of all stages of monthly SIOP cycle – Demand, Supply, Financial Reconciliation, and Executive Review
  • Identify demand forecast risks and opportunities and develop effective mitigation plans
  • Define forecast granularity (details level) and netting rules together with all stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Sales, Finance, SIOP Manager, Order Management, Planning, Supply Chain, production, etc.)
  • Measure and improve forecast accuracy on a quarterly basis and lead adjustments based on customer demand
  • Initiation, participation and leading of improvement projects for forecasting process
  • Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management.

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree on supply chain management or business-related field or equivalent, minimum 8 years prior relevant experience in related field
  • Experience in areas such as Strategic Planning, Business Management, Statistics, or Supply Chain management
  • Experience with data analysis and advanced excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Experience in Order Management, Materials Planning, and Operations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ERP Systems

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Environmental Safety Requirements

  • New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
  • All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Technician
  • Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s direct supervisor will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis

Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPE’s include, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso Cryo safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 annually
