Job Overview

Nikkiso is currently growing their portfolio of power generation equipment and customers by focusing regionally on what products customers require. We are seeking a motivated individual to establish the existing opportunities and help develop opportunities for the sales team. Nikkiso Cryoquip is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various departments within the organization to develop new processes and improve existing ones, enhancing CQP product structure.
  • Collaborate with senior members to standardize the product line.
  • Create and maintain detailed product specifications and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with the product management, design, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of product goals and features.
  • Provide technical support for teams executing field service activities.
  • Participate in market share assessments to identify growth opportunities for the product line.
  • Assist in developing strategies for potential new business opportunities, working closely with sales and product teams to expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop accurate and clear scope of supply quotes for power generation system products.
  • Ensure that all product designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Support the team in adhering to company-specific processes and engineering guidelines.
  • Work with management and R&D teams to develop and implement product continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyze failures and assist with long-term corrections and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to improve product performance.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for Power Generation products as needed.
  • Manage and complete multiple tasks on time.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize work to achieve goals and objectives with excellent follow-through, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and demands.
  • Promote and prioritize customer focus and communication in all tasks and interactions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Work Environment

The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. The position supports operations in the manufacturing facility, which requires being on the shop floor for extended periods of time. Safety equipment must be utilized as specified to enter production areas. May be subject to hot and cold environments, loud noise, and typical manufacturing exposures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. This role will require global travel to a Customer’s office or site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply. Candidates will be required to show a driving abstract with a clean driving history for travel between the Nikkiso facilities and client sites/offices as required. A valid driver’s license is necessary.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. PPE must be utilized as specified to enter production areas.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Process engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of customer service in a manufacturing environment in the industrial gas industry and with equipment such as pumping systems, turboexpanders, turbines, or similar rotating equipment & systems (preferred).
  • Practical application of engineering science and technology, specifically as it applies to pumping systems, vaporizers, process systems, or related products.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles to optimize the design and manufacture of relevant products.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor) for design and technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical details with engineering teams, customers, and contract administrators.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong listening capabilities.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions for product design and performance.
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, maintaining strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with cryogenic systems and centrifugal pumps (preferred).
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality products and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Results-oriented mindset, focused on achieving goals and contributing to the continuous improvement of products.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic systems and centrifugal pumps is a plus.
