Job Overview

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Director of Talent & Organizational Development to build and lead our new Learning & Development (L&D) function. Optimize organizational performance by creating and implementing programs and systems that strengthen the knowledge, skills and abilities of employees. Provide the tools and resources to ensure employees are successful in their current roles and prepared for their future roles and growing demands of the organization. As a rapidly growing organization with employees in 22 countries, this leader will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive L&D strategy, infrastructure, policies, practices and programs that align with our global business objectives.

 

Annual Salary: $156,421 to $191,181

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement a global L&D strategy that supports the company's growth and aligns with business goals.
  • Design and oversee the creation of L&D infrastructure, including systems, tools, and processes.
  • Establish and enforce L&D policies and best practices across all regions.
  • Drive the Talent Management Process (TMP) and work with leadership to ensure the execution of individual development plans and succession plans.
  • Create an employee development framework and pathways that support internal mobility and succession planning.
  • Oversee training function and Learning Management System.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Regional HR teams to identify and address specific employee development needs.
  • Design and implement a leadership development program to ensure the organization has ‘ready talent’ to support our rapid growth.
  • Implement leadership assessment tools and practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations in learning and development, including AI.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will supervise the Training Manager and coordinate project teams.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Extensive experience with various learning systems, tools, and practices.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective L&D programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and project management skills.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a global organization, managing L&D functions across multiple countries.
  • International experience required.
  • Certification in L&D or related fields (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in project management, business analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
