Job Overview

Nikkiso Cryogenic Process Systems Functional Unit is hiring for an Industrial Gas Sales and Product Manager who will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and have global responsibilities.

 

Sufficient technical understanding of air separation plant cycles and industrial liquefiers is essential in order to effectively provide a plant to a client who is looking for a customized solution. Most of these clients will be global, major and independent industrial gas companies.

 

The mission will be to manage the customized industrial gas offerings, from marketing, training, and technical & commercial sales support. In addition, provide input on product development initiatives the company should be undertaking.

 

Annual Salary: $107,614 to $158,003

Responsibilities

  • Effectively sell custom, cryogenic industrial gas plant solutions (air separation and industrial gas liquefiers).
  • Ensure understanding of competitor offerings to be able to explain competitive advantages of our solution. Observe and update on our competitors’ activities.
  • Work with engineering team to develop the customized solutions for the client. A major portion of time will be spent working with process engineering on the solution.
  • Seek and receive feedback about our product performance, customer perception, and applications, to ensure that our products are constantly being developed to include innovative features and added benefits to the customer.
  • Accountable for closing contracts for orders where we have a good offering.
  • Set up and execute the marketing strategy, including the development of tools, presentations, brochures, articles, press releases, etc. related to the product range.
  • Assist our global sales with all necessary technical and commercial inputs to grow our market share.
  • Develop the training material and programs needed to increase the knowledge and competence of our sales personnel.
  • Manage market pricing to our sales entities, ensuring that our local price strategy is competitive across the different territories.
  • Support the Business Line Managers to achieve the functional unit objectives in any given market.
  • Monitor the business through periodic follow ups, and Official Quarterly Business Review Meetings, etc.
  • Observe and update on our competitors’ products and activities.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects, as required.
  • Identify and target attractive new industry segments and applications.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering strongly preferred. BS in Business Administration, Marketing with related field and strong product knowledge will also be considered.
  • Experience in air separation process engineering or operation is a plus.
  • Industrial gas market knowledge is a plus.
  • Exposure to pricing strategy and analysis.
  • Fluency (written & oral) of English is a must.
  • Additional Foreign Language fluency is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Committed team player with drive for success.
  • Should have excellent communication skills & creative thinking.
  • Person must be willing to work under critical schedules having in mind the final targeted results planned by management or customer deadlines.
  • Willing to travel as required.
