Job Overview

Summary/Objective

We’re seeking an Aftermarket Account Manager – Marine to grow our aftermarket business and customer relationships across the global shipping and marine industry. In this role, you’ll combine technical knowledge with commercial expertise to become a trusted advisor to shipowners, shipyards, and operators—ensuring uptime, reliability, and long-term value.

Location:  Open yet preferably in the Houston, Texas area.

    • Grow the Business: Develop and expand aftermarket sales of spares, upgrades, field service, and lifecycle solutions for marine customers.
    • Be the Partner: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, shipyards, and fleet operators worldwide.
    • Understand the Market: Stay close to customer operations, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to anticipate needs.
    • Drive Value: Translate technical requirements into tailored service solutions that enhance performance and reliability.
    • Negotiate & Close: Lead commercial discussions and service agreements that strengthen customer loyalty.
    • Collaborate Globally: Work closely with product, engineering, and service teams to deliver seamless customer support.
    • Represent Nikkiso: Be the face of CEIG aftermarket at customer sites, industry events, and marine conferences.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of educational qualifications, technical skills, leadership experience, and personal attributes that ensure the individual is well-equipped to understand the complexities of service operations across different cultures and regions.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional English language proficiency Spanish language capability is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is preferred.

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of technical sales/account management experience (marine, cryogenic, or energy sectors preferred)
  • Knowledge of marine systems, LNG fueling, or cryogenic equipment a strong plus
  • Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage key accounts.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • To perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to type and write, and feel objects, tools, or controls; lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.
  • Long hours may be necessary as the workload dictates. This could include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Ability to lift to 42 lbs. may be required.
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, printers, photocopiers, etc.
  • Willingness to travel domestic and internationally to engage with marine customers, production facilities, job sites and the like. Conditions vary at each location.
