Job Overview

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating detailed drawings, list of materials, selecting materials, and choosing appropriate weld detail per ASME specifications.

 

Hourly Rate

$26/hr - $35/hr 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Creating the following types of detail drawings: 

-Wiring diagrams for industrial control panels and control skids.

-Control panel assemblies.

-Power panels and motor starter controls.

-Piping and instrument diagrams.

-Piping and tubing assemblies complying with ASME B31.3 requirements with guidance from pressure vessel engineer.

-Pressure Vessels complying with ASME pressure vessel code Section VIII with guidance from pressure vessel engineer.

-Steel weldments for small equipment skids and frames.

-Details of machined parts.

  • Selection of component parts and materials to be used in the above drawing types and creating parts lists for procurement.
  • Interaction with project and sales engineers in the sold vaporizer systems.
  • Interaction with purchasing and manufacturing the vaporizer systems.
  • Interaction with the customers on drawing submittals and requested information.
  • Maintaining project schedules for jobs.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Zero to five years experience with the electrical and mechanical design responsibilities listed above.
  • Familiarity with electrical controls, wiring, and controls.
        Use of the following engineering and design software:
        AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical
  • Inventor 2010 and/or SolidWorks
        PLM Software (ProductCenter preferred)
        ERP Software
  • Minimum completion of high school or equivalent.
  • College and/or CAD technical school degree preferred.
