Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and visionary Director of Marine Operations to lead our global marine service activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Nikkiso continues to deliver operational excellence, unmatched safety standards, and customer-focused solutions to some of the most demanding environments in the world.

This is more than a leadership role – it’s an opportunity to share the future of marine energy operations and contribute to the decarbonization of global shipping.

Responsibilities

As Director of Marine Operations, you will:

  • Lead global marine operations across service facilities, shipyards, and offshore support locations.
  • Drive execution of complex projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction at every stage.
  • Establish an enforce compliance with international safety and environmental regulations, as well as marine classification society standards.
  • Build, mentor, an inspire a high-performing global team of managers, engineers, an field service technicians.
  • Develop and optimize operational processes, driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product development teams to align marine service operations with customer needs and business growth objectives.
  • Manage P&L responsibilities, budgets, KPIs, and strategic resource planning.
  • Represent Nikkiso as a trusted thought leader within the global marine and clean energy sectors.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior leadership in marine operations, LNG, offshore, or shipyard services.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site and/or global marine service organizations.
  • Deep understanding of international marine regulations, safety codes, and classification society requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in P&L management and operational performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and lead diverse, cross-cultural teams.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with cryogenic systems, LNG bunkering infrastructure, or hydrogen-related projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Fluency in additional languages to support global operations.
