Job Overview

Summary/Objective 

The Repair Coordinator III leads the full repair lifecycle for highly complex industrial pump repairs and exchange programs. This role manages high-value customer accounts, develops complex quotations, analyzes job costing, drives scheduling efficiency, and mentors junior coordinators. Works with minimal supervision and serves as the subject-matter expert for repair workflow and customer communication.

  • Own the full repair lifecycle for complex, high-priority, or high-value repair programs.
  • Perform advanced inspection coordination and produce detailed, technically accurate quotations.
  • Review technician findings and translate complex repair scope into customer-facing estimates.
  • Serve as the escalation point for scheduling conflicts, parts delays, or customer issues.
  • Develop and optimize repair schedules to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.
  • Monitor job financials, analyze cost variances, and ensure accurate margin performance.
  • Mentor and support Repair Coordinator I and II team members.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, quality, and management to resolve issues.
  • Manage communication for key customers, providing detailed progress reports and technical updates.
  • Oversee job documentation quality and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Validate final work order accuracy and approve invoices for release.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on workflow, repair accuracy, and customer experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5–7+ years in service coordination, repair operations, or industrial equipment service with demonstrated progression.
  • Advanced understanding of industrial equipment, rotating machinery, or pump repair.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, inspection reports, materials, processes, and technical data.
  • Demonstrated skill in quoting, cost analysis, scheduling optimization, and customer management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, workflow management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Formal technical training, mechanical background, or experience leading repair workflows.
  • Experience working with engineered products or complex mechanical assemblies.

 

Work Environment: 

  • Office and shop environment; participation in safety initiatives and leadership in safe work practices.

Safety:

  • Complete safety training requirements.
  • Participate in other training as directed by the company or manager.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as needed.
