Job Overview

This role will be responsible for process and policy development, negotiation, procurement, order management, vendor management, system management, and other related procurement activities in the supply chain lifecycle for Nikkiso CEIG. The activities will encompass everything required for Executive Leadership and their teams to support day-to-day activities, as well as any goods or services centrally procured by CEIG on behalf of the individual Business Units.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical demands required.

Responsibilities

  • This role is primarily responsible for strategic and tactical global sourcing for goods and services required for the CEIG Executive Leadership members and on behalf of the Business units when required
  • Responsible for supporting and co-leading the procurement strategies for different goods and services with the support of the Executive Vice President of Operations
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships and developing a structured supplier management plan
  • Responsible to ensure purchased materials meet quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Monitor supplier performance to assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve quality and delivery
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels to ensure that adequate supplies of products are always available
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and commodities to ensure ongoing supply and appropriate pricing are met
  • Manage capabilities of existing and future supply base to ensure they meet the needs of our business
  • Implementation and continuous improvement of standardization activities
  • Support implementation of Global Commodity strategies between the Business Units where possible
  • This role might require working with different sites within Nikkiso to identify opportunities to standardize and improve supply chain strategies and promote best practices across the business
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related technical area or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good supplier and vendor relationships
  • Expertise in problem-solving working with internal and external teams
  • Ability to lead/co-lead projects in cross functional teams to drive strategic sourcing in a global environment
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel with excellent communications skills
  • Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal skills - verbal and written communication, self-starter, positive make-it-happen attitude, team player
