Job Overview

Lead Complex Projects That Power Critical Infrastructure

Nikkiso Cryogenic Services is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead engineered-to-order turbo and centrifugal pump projects from contract award through final delivery.

 

This role is central to delivering technically complex, high-performance rotating equipment solutions to customers across North America. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding of industrial machinery with disciplined project execution, financial oversight, and confident stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Leadership

  • Manage turbo and centrifugal pump projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
  • Review contracts, technical specifications, and proposals to define execution strategy and risk profile.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish milestones, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive accountability.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead coordination across engineering, workshop operations, supply chain, quality, and field service teams.
  • Align priorities and ensure seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Proactively resolve interdepartmental challenges to prevent delays and cost overruns.

Operational & Performance Oversight

  • Monitor project performance and track progress against schedule and financial targets.
  • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive disciplined execution in fast-paced, technically complex environments.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary customer interface for project execution.
  • Lead discussions regarding schedules, contract requirements, technical clarifications, and change orders.
  • Communicate project health, risks, and financial performance to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Build trusted customer relationships through consistent delivery and transparency.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage project budgets, margin performance, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Support contract reviews, scope management, and claims mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive enhancements in project management processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Capture lessons learned and implement best practices across engineered-to-order projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience in turbo machinery, rotating equipment, cryogenic systems, oil & gas, energy, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven track record managing technically complex projects across engineering and operations.
  • Strong understanding of turbo machinery and rotating equipment fundamentals.
  • Experience coordinating workshop, repair, and field service activities preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
