Job Overview

Reporting to the Director Marine Operations, the Field Service Coordinator acts as the operational hub between customers, field technicians, and internal teams. The role ensures that service requests are handled efficiently, resources are allocated correctly, and all documentation and communication are accurate and timely.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, prioritize, and assign service tasks to field engineers based on skills, availability, and location.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding service appointments, updates, delays, and follow‑ups.
  • Create, track, and close work orders; ensure all required information, parts, and documentation are included.
  • Collaborate with logistics, sales, and technical support to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Monitor engineers workloads, travel routes, and equipment needs to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate service records, prepare daily/weekly reports, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Address scheduling conflicts, urgent service needs, or customer concerns quickly and professionally.

  • Attention to Detail and Data Accuracy – Maintains a high level of accuracy in service documentation and operational records.
  • Adaptability and Prioritization – Effectively manages shifting priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Technical and Industry Awareness – Demonstrates working knowledge of field service operations and technical service environments.

Education and Experience: 

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language (Advanced Level), including business and legal vocabulary. Any other languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor/master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field is advantageous.
  • Five plus years of experience managing field service team to provide optimum customer service.
  • Experience in bidding/proposal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical and commercial perspective.
  • Quick learner and able to maintain excellent personal relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; field report writing
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
