Job Overview

Working within the NCI Accounting Department and reporting to the Controller, the Program Financial Analyst provides accounting services and support to Project Managers for their Projects with financial profitability and viability. The Program Financial Analyst will also work with the NCI Project Management Department and others.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze Projects financials and budgets, including cost-to-complete (ITC), margin analysis (EAC/CV), and forecast updates.
  • Develop and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to summarize POC’s that include information on Milestones, CV or EAC changes, status  and, relevant KPIs, team members and team structure, processes and process improvements, and feedback from end users.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on ongoing Projects.
  • Manage contract-related accounts, including unbilled revenue (contract assets), deferred revenue (contract liabilities), customer deposits, liquidated damages and warranty revenue.
  • Assist with budgeting; quarterly and monthly forecasting. 
  • Document processes and procedures. 
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field is required.
  • 2+ years of POC Accounting experience, or in Long term Program Management
  • Strong experience with POC / ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting and margin analysis
  • ERP experience (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Encompix or similar)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Assist with financial closing process, and monthly reporting and analysis
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:

  • In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

Environmental Safety Requirements:

  • New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
  • All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EH&S Technician
  • Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
  • Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include, face coverings, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso Cryo safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
