Shipping & Receiving Clerk III

Nikkiso Cryoquip is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry.  Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk III supports inbound and outbound logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for receiving, verifying, documenting, storing, staging, and shipping raw materials, fabricated components, purchased parts, and finished goods while maintaining inventory and ERP accuracy.

As a Level III position, this role works independently with limited supervision, handles more complex shipping and receiving activities, resolves routine discrepancies, coordinates material priorities with internal departments, and serves as a resource to less-experienced team members.

Rate

$20/hr - 27/hr

• Receive, unload, verify, and document incoming materials, components, assemblies, and purchased goods.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation for accurate quantities, part numbers, and condition.
• Perform initial visual inspections and identify, research, and resolve routine shipping or receiving discrepancies; escalate quality or material concerns as appropriate.
• Stage incoming materials for Quality inspection, production, inventory, or designated storage locations.
• Pick, verify, package, and stage materials and finished goods according to work orders, customer requirements, and shipping schedules.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required records.
• Build or repair pallets, crates, and packaging to properly protect and secure materials and equipment during transportation.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other authorized material-handling equipment.
• Accurately complete shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and material transactions within the company ERP or inventory management system.
• Maintain material traceability and organized shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
• Label, transport, stage, and store materials in designated warehouse, production, and inventory locations.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Quality, Production, and Logistics to communicate material status and prioritize production-critical materials.
• Handle large, heavy, high-value, or sensitive materials using appropriate equipment and handling practices.
• Identify material-flow, inventory, or warehouse issues and support process and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training and providing guidance to less-experienced Shipping & Receiving employees as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized shipping, receiving, warehouse, and staging areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures, applicable OSHA requirements, and material-handling practices.

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to large fabricated equipment, heavy components, forklifts, trucks, and material-handling equipment.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• May require work in loading/unloading areas and varying environmental conditions.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing logistics.
• Experience working independently in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Working knowledge of ERP or inventory management systems and related shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Experience reviewing purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Ability to identify and resolve routine shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, recordkeeping, and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Experience handling large fabricated components or finished industrial equipment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or warehouse continuous-improvement practices.
