Production Worker III

Nikkiso Applied Technologies is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

The Production Worker III is an experienced manufacturing team member responsible for performing complex assembly, production, and fabrication activities in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and the ability to independently assemble components and subassemblies with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

The Production Worker III is expected to perform work with limited supervision, identify and resolve routine production or assembly issues, verify completed work meets specifications, and effectively use hand tools, power tools, machinery, measuring devices, and material handling equipment as required.

As a senior-level production worker, this position may also provide technical guidance, demonstrate proper assembly methods, and assist less-experienced team members while maintaining responsibility for their own assigned work. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.

Rate

$22/hr - $30/hr

• Read, understand, and independently follow blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, bills of material (BOMs), and other production documentation.
• Perform complex assembly and production activities involving components, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Position, align, fit, and assemble parts and components according to established specifications and tolerances.
• Accurately interpret dimensions, measurements, tolerances, and other technical requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, machinery, and other production equipment safely and effectively.
• Measure and verify components and completed assemblies to confirm compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify improper fit-up, incorrect components, dimensional discrepancies, damaged materials, and other production or quality concerns.
• Perform routine troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments or corrections within the scope of the position.
• Recognize production issues that require additional technical support and escalate concerns to the appropriate supervisor, Quality, Engineering, or other support function.
• Perform work with limited supervision while maintaining established productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Follow established manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions and identify opportunities for process or workflow improvement.
• Complete required production documentation accurately and timely, including applicable work orders, travelers, inspection records, or other manufacturing records.
• Coordinate with other production employees and departments to support the completion of assemblies and finished products.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and proper use of production tools and equipment within the employee's training and qualifications.
• Provide guidance and hands-on assistance to less-experienced production employees regarding established assembly methods, tools, processes, and work instructions as needed.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with company safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and promptly report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, quality concerns, and production errors.
• Support production schedules and priorities by adapting to changing assignments and operational needs.

• Consistently demonstrate a high level of workmanship, reliability, attention to detail, and accountability for completed work.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The Production Worker III may provide technical guidance, demonstrate established work methods, and assist in the training or development of less-experienced production employees as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The employee routinely works around production equipment, material handling equipment, hand and power tools, machinery, and moving mechanical components. The work environment may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other conditions commonly associated with an industrial manufacturing facility. Required personal protective equipment must be worn as applicable.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grasp, and use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively and possess the visual ability necessary to read drawings, perform detailed assembly work, take measurements, and inspect completed work.

The position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work at varying heights and positions. Employees may be required to remain on their feet for extended periods and perform work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
• Typically 3–5 years of progressively responsible manufacturing, mechanical assembly, production, or related industrial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience independently performing moderately complex to complex mechanical assembly or production work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to work with mechanical components and assemblies.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using standard hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment.
• Ability to accurately perform measurements and verify work against established specifications and tolerances.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot routine assembly, equipment, or production issues.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety expectations.

• Experience providing hands-on guidance or training to less-experienced production employees preferred.
