Job Overview

The Engineering Lead, CAD Design is responsible for creating detailed assembly drawings, bill of materials, selecting materials based on project specifications and choosing appropriate weld details per ASME specifications.  Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

 

The position is designed to serve as the knowledge expert in CAD Design in addition to basic essential functions and responsibilities.

 

Hybrid or remote work is not available.  Position can be located at any existing Nikkiso location.

 

Annual Salary:  $91, 128 - $170,032

Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Creating the following types of detail drawings:

 

  • Piping and tubing assemblies complying with ASME B31.3 requirements.
  • Pressure Vessels complying with ASME pressure vessel code Section VIII.
  • Steel frame weldments for equipment skids and cold box frames.
  • Details of machined parts. • Selection of parts and materials to be used in the above drawing assembly types to create Bill of Materials for procurement.
  • Interaction with project and sales engineers in the sold vaporizer systems.
  • Interaction with purchasing and manufacturing departments for the sold vaporizer systems.
  • Interaction with the customers on drawing submittals and requested information.

Qualifications

  • CAD Technical school degree preferred
  • Three to five years’ relevant work experience

 

 Use of the following engineering and design software:

  • Inventor 2010 or later and/or SolidWorks
  • AutoCAD 2010 or later • Microsoft Office • PLM Software (Product Center preferred)
  • ERP Software
